Case summary
Vicente Patricio Clement Hechenleitner, a 27-year-old employee and leader of the Vicuña Mackenna Industrial Belt, was detained by the Air Force at his workplace on September 14, 1973. On September 16, 1973, Vicente Patricio CLEMENT HECHENLEITNER, 27 years old, an employee and leader of the Vicuña Mackenna Industrial Belt, was executed.
The victim had been detained on the 14th of the same month by members of the Fuerza Aérea upon arriving at the LONCOLECHE company. Credible testimonies indicate that the victim was executed by State agents on September 16, on the banks of the La Aguada canal, at the intersection of Avda.
Vicuña Mackenna and San Joaquín, and his body was abandoned there. His lifeless body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute by the San Joaquín Carabineros station. The respective death certificate lists the aforementioned location as the place of death and September 16 as the date.
Having reliably verified the detention and given the existence of credible testimonies regarding the circumstances of his death and legal record thereof, this Commission has reached the conviction that Vicente Patricio Clement was executed and was a victim of human rights violations attributable to the actions of State agents.
