Note on Archivo Chile (CEME)

The archivochile.com website (Centro de Estudios Miguel Enríquez - CEME) contains valuable historical documentation.

However, their site expressly states that material may not be copied without authorization. Therefore:

  • We do not extract content directly from CEME.
  • When we cite information that also appears on CEME, the primary source is another (Museum, Rettig, etc.).
  • We recommend visiting their site for supplementary documentation.

How We Cite Sources

In each victim or perpetrator profile, information is organized by source:

  • Each section clearly indicates its origin.
  • A direct link to the original source is included.
  • When there is conflicting information between sources, both versions are presented.
  • AI-generated summaries are explicitly identified.
