On September 16, 1973, Sergio ANABALON VERGARA, 38 years old, an employee of Carabineros, was reportedly detained at the headquarters of the Carabineros General Prefecture and killed at the same location by officials of that institution, according to testimonies received.

While the precise circumstances of his death remain unknown, the Commission considers that the victim died as a consequence of the political violence existing in the country in the days following September 11, with the date on which the events occurred being of particular relevance.
