Daniel Ferreira-Ramos Scaltritti died that day at 16:50 hours, at Posta Nº 3, due to craniocerebral trauma and multiple thoracic-abdominal contusions, as recorded in his Death Certificate.

Daniel Ferreira-Ramos was arrested on the morning of January 15 by officers from the Assault Investigation Brigade of the Investigaciones Police, while he was attempting to flee after having participated in a bank robbery in the Estación Central sector.

During the arrest procedure, he sustained six gunshot wounds to both legs, for which he had to be transported to Posta Nº 3, where it was determined that he should be sent to the Traumatology Institute by ambulance.

The police officers present stated that they would carry out the transfer themselves. However, the officers did not take him to the medical center; instead, they kept him inside a vehicle, subjecting him to interrogations and physical duress.

Hours later, they transported him back to Posta Nº 3, where he arrived lifeless.

The Autopsy Protocol confirms the stated cause of death and indicates that the injuries received were the result of the actions of third parties. It also notes the existence of six gunshot wounds on his body, which were not the cause of death.

Considering the evidence gathered by this Corporation, the Superior Council concluded that the death of Daniel Ferreira-Ramos Scaltritti was a direct consequence of the torture and beatings to which he was subjected by State agents while he was wounded and in custody. For this reason, it declared him a victim of human rights violations.
