Case summary
Rodolfo Román Notari was a Carabineros non-commissioned officer and DINA agent who operated in detention centers such as Villa Grimaldi and Londres 38. He participated in clandestine repression under the command of Manuel Contreras and was prosecuted for crimes against humanity, including aggravated kidnapping in the "Colombo Case."

19.-) Statement by DINA agent Rodolfo Román Notari on page 5043; who maintained that while he was a student at the Escuela de Suboficiales de Carabineros de Chile between October and November of 1973, they were received by the commander of the Manuel Contreras Regiment, and while they were lined up in the courtyard, Colonel Contreras indicated to them that the enemy was working surreptitiously, and therefore they were also going to go underground to combat them.
They were not told directly what the purpose of their future duties would be, but later, through the course that was taught to them in Rocas de Santo Domingo, where there was a recreational camp with cabins where they were installed, they gradually began to realize what their future mission would be.
