Roberto Walterio Rojas Alvarez died that day at 10:00 p.m., in Block 9, apartment 301, Renca, from four gunshot wounds to the cranium, thorax, and abdomen, as certified by his Death Certificate.
On the day of the events, Rojas Alvarez was at his home; upon opening the street door, two individuals shot him, causing his instantaneous death.
The press at the time reported that it was a political vendetta, given the victim's sympathies for a right-wing movement. The perpetrators of the shooting left pamphlets in which a group calling itself the "Popular Resistance Militias" claimed responsibility for the victim's death.
Considering the evidence gathered, the Superior Council of this Corporation concluded that Roberto Walterio Rojas Alvarez was a victim of human rights violations committed by private individuals for political motives.
