Nolberto Seguel Reyes died that day at 23:55 hours, at the Hospital de San Bernardo, due to a complicated craniofacial gunshot wound, as recorded in the Medical Death Certificate from the Legal Medical Institute.

According to the testimony of his spouse, Nolberto Seguel did not return from work that day. The following morning, she searched for him at police stations and hospitals, with no positive result. On September 29, at the Hospital de San Bernardo, she learned of her husband's death.

The doctor who provided the information indicated that he had received emergency care after being found dying at the hospital doors, and suggested she go to the Regimiento de Infantería de San Bernardo to find out more details about what had happened to her husband.

Following the information provided at the hospital, she went to the Regimiento de Infantería de San Bernardo, where she retrieved Nolberto Seguel's personal belongings. At this location, she did not receive any explanation regarding the causes of his death or the reason why his belongings were at that facility.

Considering the evidence gathered and the investigation conducted, the Superior Council of this Corporation reached the conviction that Nolberto Seguel Reyes was executed by State agents outside of any legal process. For this reason, it declared him a victim of human rights violations.
