On October 17, 1973, Néstor GONZALEZ RAMOS, a technical draftsman and leftist sympathizer who actively participated in the Unidad Popular presidential campaign, died. On the same day of his death, he was detained by military personnel in front of witnesses at his uncle's house.
His family carried out various efforts to determine his whereabouts, all of which were unsuccessful.
His body was found in the area of the Lo Prado tunnel, bearing gunshot wounds. According to the death certificate, his death occurred on October 17, 1973.
This Commission has reached the conviction that Néstor González Ramos was executed by State agents while he was detained by them and under their custody, which constitutes a grave violation of human rights.
