According to statements provided by his relatives, while Pedro Gómez was returning home from his workplace after the curfew had already begun, he was caught in a shooting near Cerro Larraín and was struck by a projectile.
The family later located his body at the Legal Medical Institute of Valparaíso.
Considering the evidence gathered and the investigation conducted by this Corporation, and taking into account the cause of his death and the time and place in which it occurred, the Superior Council declared Pedro Eleazar Gómez Gutiérrez a victim of the prevailing political violence.
