On November 3, 1973, Pedro David OTAROLA SEPULVEDA, 22 years old, a slaughterhouse worker, died.
The victim was detained that day by carabineros officers, along with a friend, from inside a commercial establishment at the 46th stop of Avenida Santa Rosa, and they were taken to the local police station.
It was established through testimony that Otárola, along with other detainees, was taken from the police facility where they were being held the day after his arrest, dying as a result of gunshot wounds to the cranium and thorax, as stated in the death certificate.
In accordance with the above, this Commission has formed the conviction that David Otárola died as a consequence of an act of violence prevailing during the period analyzed.
