On December 25, 1973, María OSORIO RODRIGUEZ, 25 years old, lost her life.
The victim was in the front yard of a friend's house in the Carrascal sector when shots were fired at both of them from a military jeep passing by. She received a gunshot wound to the head, and her friend was wounded in the leg.
The Commission has formed the conviction, after reviewing witness statements, that María Osorio died due to the excessive and improper use of force by State agents, who were presumably attempting to enforce the curfew.
