On August 6, 1974, the lifeless bodies of Eduardo Exequiel MUÑOZ TAPIA and Luis Segundo TOLEDO GONZALEZ, a salesman and a laborer respectively, were found at the Fundo La Laguna in Maipú, each with a sign hanging around their neck that read "for being a snitch, the resistance." The former had been detained on August 1 and the latter the following day by civilians who claimed to be from Investigaciones.
The Commission has reached the conviction that the victims were killed for political motives, in violation of their human rights, but lacks sufficient evidence to determine the identities of the perpetrators.
