On June 14, 1983, the day of the Second National Day of Protest, four people died:
Leopoldo Albino SEGOVIA GIL, 20 years old, was wounded near midnight while some young people were gathered around a bonfire in the San Genaro neighborhood (Santiago), when a man approached the group and fired a firearm at them. He died a few hours later at the Institute of Neurosurgery due to a gunshot wound to the head.
The testimonies received by the Commission lead to the conviction that Leopoldo Albino Segovia was a victim of human rights violations committed by private individuals acting under political pretexts.
