On October 26, 1973, 2nd Corporal of the Air Force José Enrique ESPINOZA SANTIC was executed. He was detained on October 19 at the Escuela de Aviación Capitán Avalos by members of the institution to which he belonged, and was subsequently transferred to the Academia de Guerra Aérea (AGA) and later to the Academia Politécnica Aeronáutica (APA), the place where he was executed on the indicated date, all of which is corroborated by the statements of eyewitnesses to the events described.
The corresponding autopsy report indicates that the cause of death was a "thoracic gunshot wound, with the projectile entering through the back."
Bearing in mind the aforementioned facts, this Commission is convinced that José Espinoza was executed by State agents, in violation of his right to life.
