Jorge Juan José Ramos Cáceres died that day at 22:00 hours on a public road from abdominal gunshot wounds, as recorded in the Medical Death Certificate from the Legal Medical Institute.
According to witness statements, Ramos Cáceres did not return home that day, which is why his relatives immediately began searching for him, as a curfew was in effect at that time from 18:00 hours until 6:30 hours the following day.
Three days later, his body was located and identified by his brothers at the Legal Medical Institute. His body had multiple gunshot wounds and had been admitted as a "John Doe" (NN).
The victim's vehicle was found at the Carabineros Traffic Department facilities, with bullet impacts in various parts of the bodywork. The family concludes that Ramos Cáceres was caught by the curfew while returning to his home.
Considering the background information gathered and the investigation conducted by this Corporation, the Superior Council, despite the uncertainty regarding the precise circumstances of his death, in consideration of the cause of death, the time, and the place where his remains were found, reached the conviction that Jorge Juan José Ramos Cáceres was a victim of the prevailing political violence.
