In the same locality, on November 17, 1973, 73-year-old Gregoria CARILAF HUENCHUPAN passed away. On September 15, Carabineros officers, who were searching for her son, violently broke into her home and beat her on the head and throughout her body, upon finding that her son was not at home.
This Commission is convinced that Gregoria Carilaf died as a result of the blows inflicted by State agents who raided her home, in an act of grave violation of her human rights.
