Although the death of Guillermo Enrique BRATTI CORNEJO does not correspond to repression against the Partido Comunista, it is included here to maintain the narrative thread and because it is linked to the disappearance of a communist who later collaborated with the Comando Conjunto.

On June 1, 1976, Guillermo Enrique Bratti was killed in the Cajón del Maipo by gunfire; his body was subsequently thrown into the river, tied up, where it was found days later.

Guillermo Bratti was a member of the FACh, where he worked in security duties as part of the so-called Comando Conjunto. On February 29, 1976, he was discharged from the Fuerza Aérea, officially due to the needs of the service.

Information provided by an agent who was part of the same organization indicates that Bratti, along with a collaborator of the Comando Conjunto, were accused by their superiors of providing information to the DINA and wanting to switch to that service.

For this reason, both were detained by their own comrades for an indefinite period, during which their families were told they were in the North. They were subsequently released, only to be detained again later.

This Commission is convinced that the victim was executed by members of the Comando Conjunto, in violation of his human rights.
