On October 1st, after being detained at approximately 01:30 hours in their homes by Carabineros personnel, the following individuals were executed:

Gilberto ESTAY ESTAY, 46 years old, an employee at the Barros Luco Trudeau hospital, and

Julio Alberto MUÑOZ TORRES, 43 years old, a plasterer.

The lifeless bodies of the two victims appeared at 03:00 hours on October 1st at the Departamental roundabout, alongside that of Carlos Donoso, a situation described previously. The remains were found by Investigaciones police officers, who documented multiple gunshot wounds and claimed they were common criminals.

Press reports indicated that "three criminals were riddled with bullets. (...) Specialized personnel from Investigaciones estimated that their deaths occurred around three in the morning, that is, during the curfew." Another newspaper reported that "three antisocials had died due to personal disputes."

Despite the above, the Commission formed the conviction that the two victims, like Donoso, were executed by State agents outside of any legal process, taking into account that their prior detention by Carabineros officers is documented; that there are numerous testimonies regarding the circumstances of the transfer of the detainees—whose executions were narrated previously—from a police unit to the Metropolitan Cemetery and the execution of two of them at that location; that the circumstances and causes of the deaths of the others allow for the presumption of the action of the same agents; that the alleged dispute reported in the press version is implausible, considering that the victims were detained and under the custody of their captors; that the time of death is very close to the date of the victims' detention; and that the immediate causes of the victims' deaths suggest the participation of armed agents.
