On April 19, 1983, at approximately 09:00 hours, Manuel Genaro FLORES DURAN and Germán OSORIO PEREZ, aged 28 and 30 respectively, both militants of the MIR who had entered the country clandestinely according to information held by this Commission, were intercepted by security personnel while walking along Calle Villaseca in front of No. 185 in the commune of Ñuñoa in Santiago, resulting in a confrontation in which they were killed.
The Commission has reached the conviction that Manuel Flores and Germán Osorio are victims of political violence.
