Hernán Sergio González Nicolau, Gabriel Ricardo Martínez Leyton, Juan José Manuel Morales Herrera, and Sergio Wenceslao Rojas González died that day, at 08:00 hours, in the Parque Residencial Alameda in Santiago, due to thoracic-abdominal gunshot wounds, as indicated by their respective Medical Death Certificates from the Legal Medical Institute.
However, according to statements from family members and witnesses, these four individuals were detained on September 26 at a residence in the Parque Residencial Alameda, in the Las Rejas sector, by Carabineros officers, who took them to an unknown destination.
After several days of intense searching, their families found their bodies at the Legal Medical Institute.
Considering the background information gathered and the investigations carried out by this Corporation, the Superior Council reached the conviction that Hernán Sergio González Nicolau, Gabriel Ricardo Nelson Martínez Leyton, Juan José Manuel Morales Herrera, and Sergio Wenceslao Rojas González were detained and executed by State agents, outside of any legal process.
Therefore, it declared them victims of human rights violations.
