On September 15, 1973, Gabriel Augusto MARFULL GONZALEZ, 22 years old, a student, died.

The victim was detained on the street on September 14 by members of the Fuerza Aérea, who took him away along with his bicycle.

He was taken to the El Bosque Air Base, where his family was reportedly informed that he would be transferred to the Estadio Nacional the following day. At that same time, they were returned the bicycle pump. His name never appeared on the lists of detainees at the Stadium.

His body was found at the Legal Medical Institute 25 days later. The autopsy report indicates that the body was transported from Cuesta Barriga and identified by the Central Identification Cabinet. The cause of death is listed as "gunshot wound," and the date as September 15.

Subsequently, the victim's bicycle was returned to his family members at the School of Specialties of the El Bosque Air Base.

The Commission reached the conviction that Gabriel Marfull was executed by State agents outside of any legal process, in an act that constitutes a violation of human rights. This conviction is based on the fact that his detention was verified, as well as his confinement at the El Bosque Air Base and the cause of his death.
