On December 11, 1973, Félix FIGUERAS UBACH, 30 years of age, was detained by military personnel from the Regimiento de Caballería Blindada Nº 4 Coraceros in Viña del Mar. He was taken to that facility and subsequently transferred to the Academia de Guerra Naval. He died on December 15 at the Naval Hospital due to the mistreatment received at the hands of his captors.
This Commission is convinced that the death of Félix Figueras is the responsibility of State agents who tortured him and violated his right to life.
