Eduardo del Carmen Núñez Vergara died that day at 21:00 hours, at Calle Bandera 883, apartment 519, due to a gunshot wound to the right side of the chest with no exit wound, as recorded in the Medical Death Certificate from the Legal Medical Institute.
On the day of the events, Eduardo Núñez was in the apartment he shared with his sister. His relatives stated that while he was looking out the window toward Calle Puente, he was struck by a bullet of unknown origin, dying at the scene.
Considering the aforementioned facts and the investigation carried out by this Corporation, the Superior Council, taking into account the circumstances, the period, and the cause of death, declared Eduardo del Carmen Núñez Vergara a victim of the prevailing political violence.
