On October 4, Edmundo Alejandro MAUREIRA MIRANDA, 26 years old, a tailor, was arrested at his home by officers of the Carabineros from the 11th Precinct of Maipú.
The following day, his body was found with numerous gunshot wounds at the intersection of Camino Lo Errázuriz and Cinco de Abril. The body was taken to the Legal Medical Institute, and the family only learned of his fate once he had already been buried in section 29 of the General Cemetery.
The Commission has reached the conviction that Edmundo Alejandro Maureira is a victim of human rights violations, as there are serious presumptions of responsibility for his death on the part of State agents.
