A.27 JUAN CARLOS RIVERAS GUZMÁN
In an extrajudicial statement dated April 5, 2018, appearing on pages 533 to 534 (Volume II), a copy of which is found on pages 553 to 553 bis (Volume II), he suggests that on September 14, 1973, at approximately 3:00 PM, he was detained at his home by six Carabineros, recognizing among his captors Gamaliel Soto, Chabouty, Bornand, Cea, and Calfulipi, who demanded that he hand over weapons, which was the reason the property was raided.
He remained detained at the Tenencia for about a month, a period during which he was subjected to various interrogations involving the application of torture in the stables area, recognizing the Carabineros who interrogated him—Gamaliel Soto, Chabouty, and other lower-ranking officers—as well as a person wearing a military combat uniform.
During the period he remained detained at the Cunco Tenencia, from September 14 until October 14 or 15, 1973, he observed several people detained inside the Tenencia, referring to them.
