Carlos Raúl Bravo Zúñiga died that day at 9:30 hours, at the Departamental roundabout, due to complicated thoracic gunshot wounds, as recorded in the Medical Death Certificate from the Legal Medical Institute.
According to statements made by his family, Carlos Bravo was detained on September 17, 1973, in front of numerous witnesses, by members of the Carabineros, while he was waiting to make a purchase at a bakery located near the La Legua neighborhood.
The following day, he was found dead at the Departamental roundabout, where numerous bodies with multiple gunshot wounds were found in the days following September 11, 1973.
The Superior Council of this Corporation, considering the circumstances of his detention and the cause of his death, reached the conviction that Carlos Raúl Bravo Zúñiga was executed by State agents, outside of any legal process, which constitutes a violation of human rights.
