On December 20, 1973, Carlos Enrique CARRASCO GUTIERREZ, 22 years old, an agricultural worker and cashier at the Triunfo Los Valientes settlement, died.

During the hours approaching the curfew, the victim parted ways with some friends. The following day, his body was found on the side of the road connecting Chillán to Yungay, while the motorcycle he had been riding was found in a very distant location.

He was admitted to the Legal Medical Service of Chillán by carabineros. According to the corresponding death certificate, the cause of death was "multiple gunshot wounds to the cranial region." The date of death is December 20.

Although the Commission is unaware of the circumstances under which Enrique Carrasco was killed, given his death by gunshot wound during curfew hours and the procedures common at that time and in that area, the Commission has reached the conviction that he fell victim to the political violence existing during that period.
