RIQUELME PACHECO, FRANCISCO JOSE: 37 years old, single, master painter, executed on September 21, 1973, in Santiago.

RIQUELME PACHECO, JAIME BENJAMIN: 40 years old, single, laborer, executed on September 21, 1973, in Santiago.

The brothers Adán Antonio, Francisco José, and Jaime Benjamín Riquelme Pacheco died on the dates indicated, on a public street, from multiple gunshot wounds with exit projectiles, as recorded in their Medical Death Certificates from the Legal Medical Institute.

According to eyewitnesses, Adán Riquelme was detained by Carabineros on September 17, 1973, inside the La Palmilla neighborhood, where he lived.

Other eyewitnesses stated that Francisco and Jaime Riquelme were detained around the same date at their home in the Quinta Bella neighborhood by Carabineros officers, who were searching for their nephews, the brothers Waldo Antonio and Roberto Adán Riquelme Avilés. Upon not finding the individuals they were looking for, they took them into custody instead.

Days later, the bodies of the three brothers were found by family members at the Legal Medical Institute.

The following month, Roberto Adán Riquelme Avilés was detained and extrajudicially executed by Carabineros, along with his friends Juan Carlos Ulloa and Alejandro Ramiro Bravo Vega. All of them were declared victims of human rights violations by this Corporation.

And the following year, Waldo Antonio Riquelme Avilés was detained and extrajudicially executed by Army personnel. His case was reviewed by the National Commission for Truth and Reconciliation and he was declared a victim of human rights violations.

Considering the evidence gathered and the investigations conducted, the Superior Council reached the conviction that the brothers Adán Antonio, Francisco José, and Jaime Benjamín Riquelme Pacheco were extrajudicially executed by State agents while they were being held in custody. By virtue of this, it declared them victims of human rights violations.
